City of Lakewood announcement.

The City of Lakewood solicits interest from qualified real estate consulting firms with expertise in Right of Way Acquisition. This agreement will be for approximately ten (10) months in duration, from September 2022 until July 2023, with the option for the City to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. Consultants will be considered for the following project.

Pierce College

The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of Right of Way acquisition services for approximately 22 parcels. The proposed services including title clearance, appraisal waiver, appraisal, appraisal review, preparation of written offer packages, negotiation and settlement, relocation, property management, closing and certification, as necessary. An estimate of the man-hours and classifications needed to complete the project should be provided. This project has a 10% (ten percent) mandatory DBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows:

•   Approximately 0.59 miles of widening for curb, gutter, sidewalks, bicycle facilities, streetlights and associated storm drainage on both sides

•   Traffic Signal replacement and modifications/improvements

•   Pavement repair and overlay

The City of Lakewood reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (CN) associated with this/these project(s).

Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria:

1) Qualification of Proposed Project Manager

2) Qualifications/Expertise of Firm including experience with projects of similar size and scope

3) Ability to meet schedule

4) Approach to project

5) Familiarity and experience with WSDOT/FHWA standards and requirements

6) Past Performance/References

7) Approach to meet the DBE goal

Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, phone and fax numbers; Name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; and Number of employees in each firm proposed to project. Please use forms 140-565 and 140-566

The statement of qualifications shall be limited to 10 single-sided or 5 double sided, 8 ½”x 11”, 11pt. font pages not including the cover.  Please submit a PDF of your SOQ via email to [email protected] not later than 4:00 P.M., Friday July 22, 2022.
