meet dakota

January 27, 2022 – Dakota (A562286) can’t wait to find his forever home!

Dakota was one of the 19 neglected dogs that were brought to the shelter during the winter storm. This 2-year-old German shepherd was brought in with 13 other dogs by animal control after they had been found neglected on a property and left in the snow and freezing temperatures.

Shelter staff and volunteers have been working with Dakota to gain his trust and help him feel comfortable. Since coming to the shelter, his personality has started to shine!

Dakota is a loving and playful dog. He loves going on walks and enjoys running, so would make a great running and hiking buddy. Dakota is incredibly smart, so he would also enjoy training, such as agility training.

Could Dakota be the one for you? Stop by the shelter to visit him today!
